MP Plus Program
Until
now, as every building professional knows, most builders haven't worried
much about wood decay fungi applications, except when construction
was held up waiting for a treatment to be completed. In lieu of soil
pretreatments, the MP Plus Program consists
of termiticide, insecticide and fungicide concentrate that protects
against nearly all wood-destroying organisms. It is effective against
subterranean termites, Formosan termites, carpenter ants, wood-boring
beetles and wood decay fungi.
There are fewer scheduling hassles. The odor is almost non-existent.
Mold Specialists, Inc. expertise in conjunction with a manufacture's
Five-Year LImited Warranty which covers damage repair, replacement
product and retreatment labor up to $2,500 give our client's satisfaction
of our guaranteed professionalism.
Mold and Moisture Inspection.
We will provide a thorough visual inspection
of A/C -HVAC system , filters, cabinets, hot water heater, attics, crawl
space including interior and exterior.

Indoor Air Quality Testing
The
Air-O-Cell™ Air Sampling cassette is a sampling device designed
for the rapid collection and analysis of a wide range of airborne aerosols.
These include fungal spores, pollen, insect parts, skin cell fragments,
fibers, and inorganic particulates. Air enters the cassette, the particles
become impacted on the sampling substrate, and the air leaves through
the exit orifice. The airflow and patented cassette housing is designed
in such a way that the particles are distributed and deposited equally
on a special glass slide contained in the cassette housing called the "trace."
Tape lift, bulk, and swab sampling, are techniques used for direct examination.
A direct exam allows for the immediate determination of the presence
of fungal spores as well as what types of fungi are present. Direct examinations
should only be used to sample visible mold growth in a contaminated area
since most. Most surfaces collect a mixture of fungal spores that are
normally present in the environment.
Decontamination
Building of decontamination barrier chamber with polyethylene plastic
under negative pressure. HEPA vacuuming of contaminate materials, such
as walls, flooring, ceiling tiles, and furnishing. Mold contamination
does not mean your personal effects need to be thrown away. In many instances,
we are required to remove and dispose of contaminated materials, such
as carpeting, walls, flooring, ceiling tiles, furnishings or construction
debris.
Remediation
Mold contamination, a common occurrance in water damaged buildings,
has been known to have serious health effects. For this reason,
immediate removal
is necessary of all wet items from the water damaged site and to begin
air circulation to prevent dampness before bacteria can multiply.
If this
is not possible, analytical consultation will be taken to determine the
proper remediation method, which will be based on fungus type and
location,
as well as extent of damage and exposure.
Removal of contaminated building
material and furnishings are the first stages in microbial abatement.
Following are a few of the procedures used under remediation protocols
and/or are limited to: performance on an individual case by case
scope.
- Contain the area.
- Create negative pressure using AFDs
- Have an environmental consultant sample, evaluate and advise
- HEPA vacuum all areas
- Isolate, remove and property dispose of contaminated materials.
- HEPA vacuum exposed pockets.
- Dry using procedures outline by IICRC S500
